Skills Demonstrated: CNC Routing · Laser Cutting · Acrylic Fabrication · Vinyl Application · Dimensional Signage
Designed and fabricated a custom dimensional signage piece for Beauty by JingMei-Ko — laser-cut acrylic lettering (English and Japanese katakana) with CNC-routed precision, layered second-surface vinyl for depth and contrast, and a fully prepped mounting panel with alignment marks for fast on-site install.
Handled every stage personally: layout and kerning, hardware placement for stainless-steel standoffs, laser-path and cut-tolerance file prep, and adhesion planning with 3M 467MP backing. Final installation was completed on-site, with every dimensional element dry-fit and aligned before permanent mounting.
Kream House — Backlit Channel-Letter Signage
Skills Demonstrated: Halo-Lit Channel Letters · Vector Prepress · Legibility & Scale Testing · Client Proofing · Installation
Designed and fabricated a halo-lit dimensional sign for Kream House, an ice cream shop — a script logotype paired with a backlit ice cream cone icon, cut from layered acrylic with LED edge-lighting for an even glow through the letterforms.
Ran a full feasibility pass before fabrication: paper-proof legibility tests at 75" and 95" viewing distances to confirm scale and readability on camera, then reworked the vector artwork to widen minimum stroke width for lighting clearance from .42" to .60" so the LEDs would diffuse evenly instead of hot-spotting. Delivered three logo revisions (V1 through V2.5) before final sign-off and on-site install.
